Bring us a hard problem.

Bringing UVA students together to research advanced AI, build computing infrastructure and systems, and collaborate with researchers and industry.

Ways to work together

  • Research problem

Bring a hard problem. A student team takes it on for a semester.

  • Speaker or workshop

Share your work with members at a Thursday meeting, or run a hands-on session.

  • Sponsorship

Support the Society’s projects and events. We agree terms case by case.

  • Mentor a team

Meet a project team regularly and help students get unstuck.

What partners can expect

  • Student-led research

Students lead the choice of methods, run experiments, and analyze results.

  • Transparent benchmarks

We document methods and measure results against transparent baselines.

  • Documented results

Each project ends with a documented account of what was tried and what we found. What can be shared publicly is agreed for each partnership.

Partners never control our research conclusions. We are an independent student organization: no partnership uses the University’s tax ID or tax-exempt status, or implies University endorsement. Sponsorships and partnerships require approval from both Co-Presidents and the Treasurer.

Founding partners

We’re looking for our first partners. Yours could be the first name here.
